waiting for results

Published

I took my boards yesterday. I have been reading posts on this site about how some people freak out after taking the nclex exam. It is very helpful to know many people feel this way after the exam because I'm not normally an inpatient or anxious person, except for now. I have been in agony since I took the test yesterday and it shut off after 75 questions. I don't have the confidence I hoped for. I was a B+ student in nursing school and I never once felt this horrible after a test. I am new to allnurses as of today. I found it while searching for answers about the nclex exam. Thank you to all who posted about their experience. (I would rather go through childbirth pain again than take that test again. I hope I can say "I passed!" like you all.)

Oh, how I can relate. Took my test at 0900 yesterday. I can't stand waiting. I want to know so bad. I have been trying to stay busy but it is very difficult to focus. I keep thinking about how mortified I will be if I failed at 75! This time tomorrow I will either be really happy or really sad!

Not sure what states you both live in, but here in north dakota you can check at the BON website for your license number. I took my nclex on monday at 9am and I found out I passed on tuesday at 330pm. Then today only 4 days later I recieved my license in the mail. Boy that was fast, I could hardly believe it. So anyways check your BON website and see if they do license verification, who knows maybe you will have a license number.

Good luck to both of you!!!!!

I think my state is slow to post. None of my friend's licenses are up yet. (for those that know they passed) I guess I am destined to wait :Crash: until the a.m.

I just came in from trimming my hedges. So busy trying to keep my mind off of the wait. They turned out so nice I decided if I didn't pass there is always landscaping.:chuckle

Thanks so much for the support.;)

I live in Washington and I checked with the BON and they don't give results yet. I have to wait another night! This is utter agony!!! It does help to hear from others who are experiencing the same feelings!!!

thanks,

kw

Good luck, guys! Remember that both passers and failers tend to answer around 50% correct, so it's a test that basically makes you feel terrible by design.

Hello,

I took my nclex yesterday, and your right the wait is horrible. I try to keep busy ---does it help -- no. My test stopped after 75 questions also. I thought it was hard and not what I expected. Now to play the waiting game. Good luck to everyone who took the test.
