I was wondering if anyone knows if Quincy College has a two year waiting list for their RN program? I am currently enrolled to take my pre-req's. I have taken Biology and am taking Chemistry now. I would like to start next September but if there is a two year wait I will need to find another option such as the LPN route or do any know of any programs without a waiting list?
Any information would be appreciated.
Thank you
Debbie

i start the lpn program at quincy in sept. its 10 months. than after i get my lic. i can do the advance placement program to get my rn, i think thats another 10 months. i think the wait is long for the rn- i also think the lpn is full for sept but you can put your name on the list. i think last year they called everyone on the list-- good luck
Thank you for your reply. I am calling them right now.

hi,
I applied a year ago this past May for the Part-time January 2005 RN program... was waitlisted and did not get called... I will be starting the program January 2006. So, in the meantime, have been knocking out all my non-nursing classes to get them out of the way.
I hear there's better luck getting into the LPN or Full-time RN programs.. the big wait is the Part-time RN program....
GOOD LUCK!!!

Hi-I was also told (by an admissions rep) that everyone on the LPN waitlist was called last year. Just in case Q.C. doesn't work out, you may want to look at LPN programs at Vocational High Schools in your district.
For example: I am in the Southeastern Regional Technical school district. They have an adult ed division that offers an LPN program. The cost is very low for residents of the district (higher for out of district). Maybe the tech school in your area might be a resource. Then, once you have your LPN, you could take the LPN to RN bridge at Quincy.
Good luck with your search!! :balloons:
