Waiting for letter of acceptance or rejection? Do I have a chance?

I was just wondering what you all think. I have applied to a LPN program and the addmision requirements as for a TEAS score of at least 40th percentile on all 4 subjects. I have taken my TEAS test and scored:

Reading 92

Math 94

Science 97

English 92

I have only transferred an English in and had a "B" on it. Which gives me 3 more points in my ranking points. I have not taken Anatomy yet nor have I taken Psych. I am waiting to get my letter of acceptance or rejection. I kinda was wondering what you all may think.. Do I have a chance? It is killing me waiting and I know the mail man is tired of seeing me everyday. I think he feels threatened HA HA! And is it inappropriate to call the nursing dept to find out?

I just got my acceptance letter to an RN program about a month ago. The agony of waiting is awful! I think that I called the nursing department at the school about 5 times. I had everything completed before I applied and I'm one of the lucky ones that got in this year. They had 400 students apply and only 40 got in. I know this because I called and asked questions, lots and lots of questions. The nursing department at the school should be able to tell you how many people applied and how competitive it is to get into the program you've applied for. I don't know how competitive the LPN programs are. But, after waiting for almost two years to get into an RN program, I sometimes wish that I would have gone into an lpn program first and then done the lpn-rn program. It would have saved me about a year of time. So anyway good luck!! Oh ya, one more thing, it took about 5 weeks before I heard that I was accepted.

I'm on my 3rd week of waiting, and I won't find out until the end of April. I've applied to my cc's RN program. I can't sit still, the waiting is awful! It also doesn't help to turn on the TV every day and hear that the medical field is the place to go to get a job -- the application pool is up. UGH!

I know!!! the wait is killing me. If I called the school as many times as I picked up the phone and thought about it then they would let me in just to get me off their backs. Ha Ha!

Ha, ha, I hear ya. I had a thought the other day when I picked up the phone to call them.

What if the nursing dept at the school has caller id -- I call again, and just then my application is on the desk of the person answering the phone. Would they put me on the "No" list? -- Just because I'm bothering them :)!

As you can see, not only is it hard for all of us to wait -- but I'm also starting to become mentally unglued!

Fingers crossed until the end of April!:)

This waiting is killing me too! I'm in CA and have applied to nine CC programs.

I just found out from C of San Mateo that I'm like 99 on their "alternate" list. Oh well, eight others to keep fingers crossed for.

But seriously, does calling the schools a bunch help or hurt you?

It's hard to say. I've never gotten any helpful info from them in regards to chances of getting in, etc. I guess it all depends on your cc. Best of luck to you.

You guys just reminded me of how i felt while i was waiting for my acceptance letter last year.I prayed everyday that i would get accepted as it was my fourth application and was counting down everyday till the acceptance letters would be out.I was looking forward to the whole stalking the postman think again but the week before they were officially to be sent out my postman calls me on a sunday and tells me he has a letter for me from the college and he would bring it straight over.I started to freak cause i wasn't sure what it was. I was thinking it couldn't be the acceptance letter cause they weren't out yet so maybe something was wrong with my application. When he came he brought this package and i was so hesitant about opening it but was thrilled when i did. When i opened it and saw all the stuff i knew i was in.It was such a great feeling.Called my husband who was out of the island immediately. So thanks guys for helping me relive that memory and best of luck to all you still waiting.Hope you all get in.Keeping my fingers crossed and praying for all you.
