Wait Time for Out-of-state Massachusetts NCLEX Application

Published

Hey everyone!

At the end of May, I graduated from a BSN program in New York, and on June 1st, I applied to the Massachusetts Board of Nursing as an out-of-state applicant for the NCLEX exam. I submitted my application to Pearson on the same day.

It took some time, but by June 30th, the administrator at my school confirmed that they sent my Certificate of Graduation to the Mass Board for review. It's now been about 5 weeks, and the Certificate of Graduation remains a pending item on my "dashboard." I've reached out to the Mass Board and Professional Credential Services, but haven't been able to get a response by phone/email. The administrator at my school re-sent the COG but is unsure why it could be taking so long to process.

All that said, I wondered if anyone else has experienced or is experiencing the same issue with wait time for out-of-state licensure/ATT, particularly in Massachusetts? I also totally understand that the pandemic may be complicating operations that might otherwise run smoothly. Any additional insight any of you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, and best of luck for those taking the NCLEX soon!

Hi! I am wondering how long it took for you to get your ATT? I'm in the same boat and not sure what to do. Thanks!

Hello,

I just wanted to share my recent experience with trying to get my MA license application processed. I had all of my documents submitted at the end of August and received noticed from the Parchment transcript service that my electronic transcripts had been downloaded by PCSHQ on September 8th. However, this was not reflected on my application profile. I called PCS HQ on Friday after considering that something might be wrong given the long delay. After waiting on hold for over an hour, I finally connected with a customer service representative only for the call the dropped 2 seconds in and the office to close before I could reconnect. I called again this morning, the hold time was only 10 minutes, and I informed the representative of the delay. She informed me that PCS HQ "misplaced" my electronic transcripts back in September and never said anything to me about it. After I called, the company "relocated" my transcripts, uploaded it to my application profile, and approved my application. All this after paying the company $230! Seems ridiculous! So if you have been waiting a long time, I suggest giving them a call, and prepare for a long wait.

Do you know what to do after all the steps are complete? The only part that is pending is the scores, so I'm waiting for my ATT code but not sure if there's something I need to do first
