how have to wait to retake NCLEX-RN in New York State?

Published

I am driving myself crazy now. Ever since I got my ATT, I have at least rescheduled my testing time 10 times already. Don't know when I will be ready. And I really want to know, what if, what if I fail the first time, when will I be able to take it again in New York State?

Hi loved,

I am sure that you have studied and that you WILL pass this exam. To answer your question in NY state, you can re-take your exam in 45 days. You can check their website for some more info.

Take care and wishing you lots of luck on your test!

Please do no think about failing, just have the confidence that you will pass, wishing you the very best.

:yeahthat: you only add to your worries if you start thinking now about how long it will be before you can retake the test, when you haven't even taken the test!! :)

right now don't worry about the ramifications if you fail. put all your energy into studying for it and passing it the first time. you'll save yourself from unwanted stress if you start thinking about what to do if you fail when you haven't even taking the test yet!!

suzanne4, the moderator of this forum, has a study program which has worked out very well for many people. this is for both the nclex-rn and pn.

send suzanne4 a pm with your email address along with the test you'll be taking (nclex-rn or nclex-pn). her program takes about six weeks as far as i know.

if you put your energy into doing something like suzanne4's plan, you won't have to worry about a possible bad outcome. just a note, in the "sticky" section on the top part of the forum, she has something that will give you an idea about her study plan.

the very best of luck to you, and think positive. :)

Good luck, loved!
