Visa screen certificate vs IELTS result

I have got a visa screen certificate from CGFNS valid for 5 years due to expire in May 2015 , but I heard the IELTS is valid for only 2 years. Do I have to retake the IELTS test before the visa screen certificate expires.

:idea: Can somebody able to give me some information.

Yes, you need a valid/unexpired IELTS result in order to renew your VSC unless you work in the US for atleast 27-36 months- including nine months of the year before the date an applicant submits the renewal application., you will only need a employment summary on corporate letterhead from your employer then your english requirement will be waived.:)

If my visa screen certificate expires in 2015 ,ielts will be expires within 2 year in 2013 ,so the 5 year visa screen certificate is still valid from 2013 after the date ielts expires till 2015 until visa screen expires?:confused:

Visascreen certificate validity is 5 years regardless of your IELTS 2 years validity has expired. You will only need a valid/unexpired IELTS result once you renew your Visascreen certificate after 5 years.:D

my visa screening certificate will expire on june 2012, why do we have to have valid ielts exam again just to renew our VSC? ielts will be the same ielts, so it means another money to spend for the ielts exam and visa screening certificate renewal fee. my priority date is long way to wait, whoaa....more patience and more money to spend:crying2:

To be honest with you it's just a way to suck more money out of you. If you have a long wait to go you should really think about a plan B and try another route. Others have done that and have decided plan B was better and have canceled their route to the US. Good Luck

My VSC expires dec 2011. Do I need 7 in each sub of ielts or avg 7? Is it necessary to have it in one sitting or do they accept in two sittings? Also, I was working as a nurse in UK for last 8 years, will they accept it to waive off my ielts requirement?

hello everybody,

My visa screen expired december 2010. How do i renew it online? my former agency failed to give me even a copy of the visa screen until last year and was frustrated to see that it has expired already.

Please help me. I am so confused with the steps in the CGFNS website :(

I renewed my visa screen last year and just followed the steps via CGFNS website. Or just try to browse or google on steps in renewing visa screen. Maybe it will help.

I cant renew my vsc online..if i place an order in CGFNS site it doesnt say renewal...can somebody help..thanks

My IELTS will be expiring this coming October 28, 2015 with passing band score, Is it still valid for my visa screen renewal?
