UVA CNL May 2011 applicants

U.S.A. Virginia

Hi,

Is there anyone else out there who applied/ is currently applying to the UVa direct entry MSN CNL program? I would love to find other members so that we can go through this process together. I'm excited to hear from other applicants! Good luck!

The School of Nursing will be closed from December 23 - January 3.

While we do offer student-led tours most weekdays at noon, these will not resume until students are back after January 19th.

Anyone apply and not had an interviewed yet? Hearing that most of you already had an interview makes me think they've reviewed my application and tossed it. :sniff:

Mr. Dave and Rnti,

I just finished A&P II, but have not heard about my grade yet, but I'm assuming I'll send the transcript in if the school asks for it. I thankfully did not have to take the GRE, but these pre-reqs have been keeping me busy!

Matt,

I'm not sure if there are others who have not been interviewed yet, but I wish you luck! Maybe they haven't contacted you yet?

Even if you can’t tour the school, I totally recommend checking out the campus and Charlottesville, if you never have. I flew out there last October and it is gorgeous.

I just got my Statistics grade, the last one I needed for UVA...so I'm very happy right now, though I have a fairly full schedule lined up for next quarter.

I think this is going to be the longest month ever ;) Good luck again to everyone and happy holidays!

I hope so Meg. BTW, when did you get your application in? I turned mine in on Nov 1st, the day of the deadline.

applicants must submit a completed application and the following materials by November 1 for the cohort entering in May 2011:

From rxy3696: "Don't be sad. In fact, most of them will be rejected. You should start to look for the backup..."

Thanks :-). Just the reassurance I needed. Not sure if you read my post, but I submitted my application on Nov. 1st....I met the deadline.

Matt...was that quoted reply to your post on this thread? Not very cool. If you made the deadline I'm sure you'll be good-to-go. I've even heard of programs willing to bend the rules a little if you have most nearly everything in and are only missing one or two items, for instance. I'm certainly not an authority, though, haha. And to answer your previous question I had a phone interview last week but I wouldn't lose heart if you haven't had one yet...I'm sure they have a lot of work to do before getting through all the qualified applicants.

For anyone visiting Clay Hysell in Admissions was very helpful to me and the students were really great in terms of showing me around campus and town. It is a really lovely town. Thanks for all the positive feedback on this thread and fingers crossed that everyone hears good news :)

So glad to find this thread! I applied for UVA CNL 2011 also. I had my interview & am now waiting-waiting-waiting! Good luck to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:yeah:

I'm also a 2011 applicant and I feel like I'm on the verge of a nervous breakdown! UVA is my first choice, but ultimately the most important thing is that I become a nurse. My backup schools require additional prereqs, and those classes start on the 10th - so I'm stressing out as to whether or not I should register for those classes and then drop them if I end up getting into UVA. My husband says I should stay positive... easier said than done!

I have never wanted two weeks to go by faster in my life! I'm glad I found this thread. It makes me feel a tiny bit better knowing there are others going through the same thing. Stay tough and good luck!

Hi lesEMT and 3v35r5!

Yes we are all on the same boat... waiting waiting waiting! Hopefully we will all know soon, one way or another! We're definitely on the home stretch, although this part feels like the hardest part!

3v3r5 - No kidding! Nervous breakdown here too for sure :p ...We'll soon know our fate! I just visited UVA and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The town itself is neat, and the trolley/transportation system there is so helpful! I guess the trip just made me even more nervous to hopefully hear good news! Good luck all! See ya on the 15th...
