How long did it take to start working at the va Hospital? I just got hired the other day this will be my 1st nurse job I'm a new nurse and I'm just curious.

Your best bet is to ask the person you're dealing with. It varies from facility to facility. It can take weeks to months, so it's wise to just ask.

Thank you! I talked to the recruiter yesterday she told me to hang in there it may be a few more weeks but everything has been checking out good so it's just a matter of time for my Background check and finger prints. She did call me about the Salary and Benefits already 😎 So I believe it's soon.

Ok cool it's only been a week so I'll just hang in there! The recruiter called and gave me my salary and we discussed benefits too, so it's just matter of time.

I applied for my job in December '13, interviewed in January '14 and then started April '14 for a position that didn't require any special boarding or license verification. I'm currently waiting on starting a new job that I applied for in October of 2016 that I was selected for under direct hire authority as a current employee, no clue when HR will finalize that, as it should have been really easy and quick to complete.
