Verbal job offer

Hi, I was interviewed and offered a job (verbal) last Thursday and was told I will be contacted by the HR this weeks. Until now no phone calls or email from the HR. I called HR on Wednesday and said they don’t have my paperwork yet. The director still has it and they were expecting to receive it on Thursday. Anyone has experienced this? Did they change their mind? I accepted another interview just in case I no longer got the job

Go ahead and interview for the other one (don’t mention interview #1) , but paperwork is paperwork, and they’ll get back to you. Happens all the time.
