There's the link to it in case you don't know what it is. I bought this several days ago, thknking the adaptive questioning would be great to review with, and the probability of passing prediction would be great, too. They even have alternate format questions that come up.
WELL.... they say they have a test bank of 1800 questions. So why on every test I've taken, after hte first one, do I have several (5-10 or so) questions that I had already seen on the earlier tests! If they have 1800 questions, why am I getting the same ones! Doesn't really test me at all then, cuz I recognize the question, and know the answer.
Ugh. for 40 bucks, I'd expect better.

I've really been thinking about buying this but after reading stuff like this, I'm just not sure. I've heard good and bad things about it.
Anyone else using it (or used it in the past) and have any input?
I'm only reviewing by using Saunders, which is great. I don't want to get a ton of review books and get swamped with a bunch of different things. But I think the CAT might be beneficial to me and I'd be willing to pay for it if it would help.

Thanks so much for bringing this up. I was actually on their website tonight, contemplating if I wanted to purchase this, or if it would give me unwanted/uneeded additional anxiety if my 'pass predictor' was low. I have a Mosby CD with about 1500 questions on it, so I was also afraid that the review would be similar to the cd I have so I decided against it tonight. I was going to sleep on it, to see how I felt about it tomorrow, but after reading your post, I probably won't be getting it now. Thanks for sharing!

i'm currently using mosby's cat exam to study for nclex. yeah, i agree it is somewhat annoying getting some of the same questions over again, but for me it has only been a minimal amount. each time i take it i do get a lot of other new questions also. i like the questions because they cover a broad spectrum of topics and i feel it has been a good source of study material for me. it's also a good confidence booster when you pass. for the price, i think it's worth it. but only time and the nclex will really tell for sure!!!

did you buy it online (not the boxed version)?
if so , how did you access it....i'm having problems big time and can't call tech support until they open on monday....
tmarie - thanks for sharing that!
I've heard of people having problems logging in too, that's another reason why I'm hesitant on it.
But I'm definitely not counting it out and I'm really thinking about getting it now ....

i bought the online version, but i'll admit i had problems getting my test id as well. i assumed that as soon as you purchased the online version you would get a test id to access it, but i didn't. i was told different things about when you would get it, either through e-mail or regular mail. to make a long story short, the next day i called customer service and spoke to a lady named cherry. she was very nice. she gave me my test id, password, and the website to access it over the phone. haven't had any problems since. tech support was no help at all. call customer service and ask for cherry. she should be able to help you out. good luck!!

i took it and started some 50% for the first one and then after that i got 97% and all the rest was 99%. but since i just kept getting 99% and many same questions, i lost interest.
Well I finally was able to log in (after speaking to Cherry!, thanks TMarie!) today and have taken two practice exams so far.... #1 w/94% probability and #2 w/99%...
Does anyone know the correlation of the "consistent difficulty level achieved"? Is it the higher the value, the harder the questions?
