Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Winter 2025 Track

Has anyone applied to Vanderbilt Hospital for the Winter 2025 NRP Cohort and heard anything? Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know! I know that they offer a moving incentive, and bonus but I'm sure that's for all units. If you go to the residency page, I know says a little bit about each unit!

Thanks! I looked into all that. I guess I am nervous about the culture. I've heard step down units in general can be crazy.. and I come from a state with legal restrictions on ratios. I just wish I could hear from someone who has worked on the unit haha.

I completely get that. That is so nice, to have a state with that. I know in Indiana, where I'm from, usually our stepdown units pt ratio is 4-5:1.

Yeah I guess that's not too bad, it is rlly just one additional patient. I just sometimes hear horror stories of people having like 8 patients haha.

I know Vanderbilt app didn't ask for letters of recommendation etc. Did anyone follow up via email or otherwise to provide something like that after their interview?

Oh gosh, that sounds awful. I did not send any letters of recommendation, but did send a thank you email after my interview. I know in prev. years they have required letters of recommendation, but this year it is not required.

Not yet, but when I interviewed on 8/26 with the PCARD unit they said "we have interviews all through this week and the next week" and then will let you know, so hopefully it will be soon as its nearing the end of this week, and its been one week since interview.

Hey! Has anyone else accepted an offer?
