Hi jkoby,

I am a current student in the AG-ACNP program graduating in August. It does not require an interview. If you have other questions I am happy to help. I received a lot of help on this forum when I first applied.

Thank you!

That sounds very promising!!! Did your application status ever change from submitted on their website?

It does sound promising. No, it has never changed.

I contacted them a week or so ago about submitting another transcript and they said my application was under review as well.. I wish I asked them when decisions would go out if you applied by the priority deadline

No, ringelm but I’m hoping for the best. I figure since I interviewed last year and the questions are the same maybe they will just pass on sending me an invite and on v-day say yes. If I was good enough to be placed on the waitlist last year after submitting my app after the priority deadline then surely I can make it this time around. Well at least this is what I am telling myself ?

Hi LCSWtoPMHNP I sure hope that you get in this time.... I spoke with Sheri Dover this morning. She's taking over for Kayla. She advised that the interview is the one of final steps before acceptance and that letters will be going out mid February. I sure feel super nervous ? Do you remember what kind of questions they asked?

Has anyone already interviewed for CNM? If so is there anything I should be expecting to be asked? Any insight is welcome ?

Hi CABG_QUEEN,

Thanks, I hope I get in this time too! My questions consisted of: Why VUSN program? Why or what made me interested becoming PMHNP? Have I thought about where I would like to do my clinicals? Where did I see myself in 5 years? They talked about their DNP program a little as well.

This is to the best of my memory. I hope it helps and good luck to you!

If I'm remembering correctly, during my interview I was told decisions would come out around February 15. I interviewed the first week in December and think I made the priority deadline. Hope this is helpful!

Anyone else apply to the pediatric primary care pre-specialty program? If I remember correctly, this was one of the programs that do not get interviews.

Has anyone else's application status changed? I had all of my documents and everything turned in on 10/31 and it still just says submitted. :(

I am praying for good news next month because Vanderbilt is my top choice!!!

I did! And no-- my application status still says submitted :/

Hey!

so the 20 minute phone interview we have isn't a preliminary interview... it's the ONLY interview?

I was going to do it during my lunch break but now I'm thinking I should rearrange my work week schedule for it.

what should I do? I don't want to ruin my chances!

BlueJays2013, I would definitely rearrange your schedule for it. Even without interruptions, you might feel rushed what with it being during the lunch hour. Not that you will be! But just to be safe.

I called earlier this week as I haven't received an interview yet and was told that decisions go out mid-February, and for PMHNP, the interview is required, but that interviews are still being conducted (though that doesn't mean that they're still being offered). Anyway, trying to keep it together these next few weeks and hope I get into one of the programs I applied to!
