Vacation in Mexico taking kids, school already closed

I know someone whose kids go to school at a closed school due to swin flu. They are not heeding advice to not go to Mexico unless travel is essential. They are going to Mexico in 12 days and taking the child with them who will return to school after the trip. I think a lot of this is swine flu is overblown but I think this family is being a little selfish. If their child gets sick the same school could be closed again and it might affect end of school activities. Your opinion??

... I might just make a phone call to the school's principal and let them know of the family's plans- and then rather than just closing the whole school after they get back- they can just tell that family that they need to keep thier kid out until medically cleared.
