So I took the UWORLD self assessment Friday morning and got a 72% with a "very high probability" of passing. I have been staying within the range of 60-70 throughout my tests and I am in the 92nd percentile. I just wanted to know, for those of you who took the NCLEX and used UWORLD, or are about to take the NCLEX, if you know of anyone who got the very high probability of passing and actually did not pass?

Also, would you describe the NCLEX harder or with similar questions as UWORLD? I heard some people say it is a lot more vague, which reminds me of Kaplan and that worries me. I did well in Kaplan but not nearly as good as I am doing in UWORLD.

Taking my test the 25th and I am a ball of nerves!!

I put "high probability" before and it is actually "very high probability"

You're gonna drive yourself completely nuts.  😋

My gut feeling when I left that place was that UWorld OVER-prepared me, if anything.  Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I passed... but a part of me was like, "That was it?  I have all of this knowledge in my brain and it didn't ask me any of it."

Those prioritization questions -- you know, where everyone is dying and who do you see first?  Yeah, I got a lot of those.  And I think that's the general idea: can you think like a nurse?  Not, do you know every single fact there is to know about the human body.  But, can you think on your feet, can you handle a crisis... do you know enough about the human body to know who to see first, what to do, what not to do.

My instructors told us that NCLEX is making sure we aren't going to kill anyone.  Then you get into UWorld and it seems like it's going to be SO much more than that!  Even those of us scoring in the 92nd percentile (right there with you) can start doubting ourselves.  Don't.  Take the day off before, walk away from it, do relaxing things, and SLEEP the night before.  That's it.  It's all going to be okay.

😓😰😭 thanks! i'm just way too nervous!! I have worked so hard and it is just going to kill me if I fail. Plus, I take it on a Friday so there is a chance I might not know my results until Monday which will probably kill me even more.

Have you been doing all the subjects all together or one by one I’m getting lost on how to use uworld since I only have about 10 days left till nclex just wanna make the mode out of the days left? Plus I just got uworld last Friday and was doing Kaplan up until that!

I have done all of the subjects together, timed. UWORLD gives you the option to go back unlike Kaplan but I don't use it. I take my UWORLD exams the way I took Kaplan.

U world is the best thing, I tell you. I took the nclex a few years ago but I still stand behind UWORLD because  I believe that's what helped me the passed the NCLEX. I tried Kaplan and Saunders and I felt that the UWORLD was most similar to the nclex and I passed on my first attempt. My test UWORLD scores were not even high as yours so just relax and you will be fine.

Graduate in May and am using uWorld right meow, it'd be cool if you updated us after you take the NCLEX on whether or not those practice questions were the same caliber and how ya did.
