UWorld, PVT, NCLEX, June 2016

Published

So here's how I passed my NCLEX. I took a review course called "Ready to Pass" in Hempstead, Long Island. I think it was a very good review course for content review. I would definitely recommend them to anybody on Long Island needing a solid review course. As far as practice questions go I used UWorld. You can't go wrong with UWorld. Read the rationales even if you got the questions right. Wouldn't have passed without UWorld. So I took my test on a Wednesday at 9am. I got 76 questions and the computer shut off. About 15 SATA, 1 med calc, rest was multiple choice. UWorld and the NCLEX look identical so I think it helped ease my nerves a little bit. The test took me 50 minutes and I walked out thinking I failed. 4 hours later I tried the PVT (which still works as long as you do it right) and I got the good pop up. I think I tried it every hour until I got my quick results LOL. Always got the good pop up, QR showed that I passed and I'm officially an RN!!!

Advice:

1. The first answer you pick, stick with it. Probably the right answer.

2. Spend the money on UWORLD and take 2 months to do it if possible, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have rushed through the whole thing (I did 200 a day) DONT DO THAT. Do questions and remediate using a textbook.

3. Ready to pass taught me something that really helped... if you get to 75 and it doesn't shut off, tell yourself "you're still in the game"... because that means you are.

4. Don't psych yourself out because that's why you will fail. You need to think positive from the second you start studying. Lock yourself away for a month or two and just study.

5. Study, Think, Commit, and Believe that you WILL PASS the NCLEX. No negative thoughts!

6. DONT STUDY THE DAY BEFORE THE TEST!!! (I got a massage).

Good Luck everyone!

Hey NyWildcat19, I was wondering if you still happen to have to Readytopass book they gave you during the class? If you're not using it, I'd like to take it off your hands. Please let me know, thanks. Email: [email protected]

About the PVT trick, I'm wondering what you mean by "as long as you do it right." Is there a specific way or time frame to do it?

You have to completely go through the payment process. Just go buy a 25$ pre paid Visa card and use that. If it doesn't let you register for another test, you passed. It's more accurate after 24 hours though. Good luck!

Great, thank you! I'm going to use quick results, but I will use this trick.
