UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

I'm pretty sure botony does not count. So really the patho class you've already taken is what satisfied your elective science.

I didnt take patho. I have only taken AP 1 and 2, Chemistry, Botony and Microbiology. I specifically asked her about the botony class and she said that it would satisfy it.

For those of you still waiting... I have set up a meet and greet place and time on the facebook group so make sure you join the facebook group if you get in :) Its not until December 9th... So it should allow plenty of time for more invites to go out!

What do I do go to UTMB or TWU?

I applied to twu as well. I pulled my app once I heard from utmb because They were my first choice. I personally wanted to graduate earlier like utmb whereas twu doesn't grad till dec 2013. That's 8 months later than utmb! I don't want to be without an income for that long! Do you live in Houston? I'm in between and prefer Galveston since traffic will be practically nothing especially compared to going north bound to Houston.

You just have to do what's best for you! Good luck!

Wellllll finally got an interview! Thank goodness! TC told me it's the last round they're doing...I'm so nervous!

I finally signed up after lurking on here for weeks. I had my interview yesterday and now the final stretch of waiting begins. Hope to have good news to post soon!!

I'm not sure if everyone knows this, but other than gpa and teas v, other factors are considered such as the number of withdraws versus the number of classes completed, number of classes completedly successfully per term, the number of withdraws and number of repeats for any course, personal hardships, etc. So don't be discouraged if you were denied with stellar scores!

Also, I'm not sure if anyone could help but enrollment services does not pick up. I have a question about the THEA for admissions. I'm from out of state and recently moved to tx so I'm not THEA compliant. Is THEA still required even if I have college level courses and am TSI exempt? Thank you

Freshstart- I had my interview yesterday as well!! I'm nervous as to when we'll hear back because there was a time when people were finding out if not the same day then the next day after interviewing. But my interviewer told me I would hear back next week :-( also, I have a feeling my chances might be slim b/c I told them I've already been accepted at Houston Baptist and accepted my spot. But only b/c I hadn't heard back from UTMB! Very anxious over here :/
