I was going to ask about the PDA software, but Deb beat me to it. Could I just download the software they want us to use onto the phone I already have since it is a PDA (I have a blackberry)? I'm just trying to find ways to save money, have you heard of anyone else doing this?

I had a question about the PDA and nursing software for it. What PDA do you use and is it used often? Do you use all the software the SON recommends? Should we go ahead and purchase before starting in Jan?

Last question: what is the one thing you wish someone had given you a heads up on about starting nursing school?

PDA question... well i used the drug guide alot and the dictionary most of the time and i sometime use the archimedes 360 and the Lab program one! Thats all i use but you can buy the whole package that the school offer its better safe then sorry

What i want you guys know you is critical thinking.... Nursing school is nothing close to regular ol college questions... This is more using your head and critical thinking =P

Do you live on the island or do you commute? How often do you have to go to campus? Where do most of the students live on the island? I'm planning on moving to the island, but don't know where yet. Any advice would be great!

I live on the island... i seen people commute.... but for me personally i rather have my sleep so i live on the island. =P

If you want to live close to school then the east end is pretty ok but its sorta ghetto.... but if you want to live on the west end its sorta high end pricing but pretty safe....

yea you can pick which program you want and yes i use my phone as my PDA save money

You can pretty much use blackberry, windows mobile, apple iphone as a PDA

I too got scholarship in my BACC2 acceptance packet. I think this should cover my spring semester.

OK I keep buying UT gear...LOL...I bought a longhorn robe a few weeks ago....bought a tshirt the other day and today bought a hoodie.....I am pretending that I already got in....power of positive thinking

Thats funny emag. I am a Red Raider and feel like I need to cover up my longhorn gear with a Double T :) Yes I talked to someone today and they made it sound like everyone that got into the BACC 2 program gets the scholarship. I guess this is because we can not work. She said they have a big fundraiser for this ( I am sure they will want to "contribute" to that as alumni)

I called and they told me the same thing. It sounds like everyone admitted to the program got $5000 to help cover costs. She said she didn't know when we would receive our checks though. I'm with y'all, this will help me out tremendously! Is anyone else applying for federal financial aid?
