Hey guys Im making this thread so all of the applicants for UTMB Spring 2010 can follow each other through the process and help each other out! The application deadline is coming up soon! Goodluck to all!:nuke: I know they are only exepting 60 for the spring.
Well my parents have already told EVERYONE that we should be hearing about our status by Friday. I really wish they wouldn't have because people ask me everyday if I've heard anything. This whole process is so stressful and I can't imagine having to do it all over again for the Fall if I don't get in!!!
KatieLou- I think we had the same interview lady....did she have glasses and wavy reddish hair? If so...she had a very flat disposition....I had to work hard to get any emotion out of her....I managed to geta few smiles and chuckles but boy I worked for them too. My lady didnt say anything in regards to admit or anything....she told me I was very out going and well spoken and self-confident. I wouldve much rather heard her say ADMIT.
Also....I asked the lady before I left how many interviewed and how many spots and I was told 200 interviewed and 70 get in. Whoever said 20 is crazy and must be confused.
How did som e of you get 140? I specifically asked for the generic and thats what she told me. Just wondering

Hey, I'm new to this forum.
I'm trying to get into utmb nursing school in the fall of 2010
I was wondering did you guys have to do this in the online application?
What did you put? How much did you put.
thanks!
I totally understand Icap! i too applied to UTH and got rejected. My friend on the other hand got accepted and turn it down because she got accepted to TWU. i'm so jealous! I have a big family and they know i applied to UTMB and know that i really want to get into that school. Many of my friends applied to nursing school and got accepted, i only applied to UTH and UTMB, i would be such a pariah if i didn't get accepted. and i agree the interview lady HAS to have her statistic wrong. I asked her twice, just to be sure, once in the interview room and once in front of my friends i brought along for support.

Did she tell you 140 or 200 people were interviewed? I also applied to UTH and UTMB only and wasnt accepted in to UT Houston....heck I wasnt even waitlisted. I have a 4.0 so I am still confused as to why but I am praying I at least get into UTMB. I would want to crawl under a rock and die if both rejected me....
Sorry for the confusion guys..some of you may have missed the original posts regarding interviews. I can't remember when it was posted, but the info is on this thread.
These numbers are not in stone, because we could never get the same answers twice regarding them, but a few of us got emails that did agree on the following:
Per "D.T." there was a total of 337 applicants for the generic and BACC2 programs combined. There were 200 invitations sent out. There will be 60 applicants accepted for the BACC2 program and 70 for the generic.
So, given the above info I tried to give kcalalang a better estimate than her interviewer did ..to calm her nerves.
I'll see if I can dig up the original posts later.

Hi CaseyTate,
I received a scholarship in my Bacc2 acceptance package. I'm not sure about anything else, yet. I have not heard back from financial aid. I'm also applying to several scholarships outside of the university.
