UTHealth Cizik School of NURSING (Pacesetter program) Spring 2022

Hi,

 I opened this for those who apply for Sping 2022 at UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing Pacesetter program. 
I plan to take my HESI in May.

Hello everyone, I’m so nervous applying for the Spring of 2022. This is my only nursing school application due to the fact that I still have some missing pre requisites. My stats are as followed:

GPA: 3.85 

HESI: 87

My prerequisites left are micro, anatomy 2, and sociology. Best of luck to everyone!

On the UT site, notifications are expected to come out on Nov. 15.... Any idea why it'll be later than usual?

I read other forums from last year and they also had their tentative post date as 11/15, but started receiving their acceptances 10/22-25 ish.

Try and see if your school lets you take the HESI through them. I go to Lone Star and they partner with proctorU. I took the test online at home for $70 and I used my own scratch paper. 

I’m a student a lonestar right now! I plan to transfer fall 2023, when do you think the best time to take the HESI would be? I’m thinking of doing it in the Summer of 2022 but I’m not sure.

It all just depends on your schedule. You should allow a couple weeks to study and then take the test but also you have to consider the deadline for the HESI and the time it takes to transfer your scores to the school (a couple days). Also sometimes they might not have any tests available past a certain date so you have to take that into consideration too. There really isn’t a recommended time just when you’re free and able to study and as long as you meet the deadline.

hi guys! I’m very nervous about getting into uthealth since it’s one of the two schools I’m applying to. im still taking microbio and chem as of now but I’m hoping for the best! whatever happens is all apart of the plan! here are my stats:

cumulative GPA: 3.331

prereq GPA: 3.85

HESI: 90.4

I think previous years they started around mid October, altho the official deadline is mid November
