UTA FNP Accelerated Program

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

Hello everyone, I am considering the University of Texas at Arlington online FNP program. What did everyone think about the online program? Was it hard to manage or reach out to the professors? was it possible while working full time? How long is the accelerated program?

Thank you, any comments would be helpful!

I am also looking into the UTA RN to FNP program! I hope to get some helpful info from this thread. Thanks

hello,

I applied for the RN FNP AO for fall 2022, how about you guys?

Specializes in PICU/OR.

I almost applied but after consulting with several FNP friends went with a different school. A lot of people have an issue with the 100% online courses and the "quality" NPs the school produces. Several won't even precept students from UTA ?

Oh, may I know what FNP school you are attending now?

I have never heard anything derogatory about the UTA FNP program as far as what the poster said above. I have had nothing but first-rate instruction. The program is 36 months, which is a turnoff for a lot of people because they want to enter into a program and get finished quickly (can't blame them), but I would be more worried about the quality of the program that pumps out FNPs in 18-24 mos. than UTA. The FNP program at this school is part of The University of Texas health sciences program, which is renowned for its programs. The UTA FNP program is top-notch, as this program is not an easy fly-by-night one and is very academically challenging. Also, it personally matters to me to have The University of Texas at Arlington on my diploma- speaking for myself only. Furthermore, I have had several friends, family, and colleagues attend, graduate, and pass their boards with ease (ANCC & AANP- both in some cases). They had no issues whatsoever finding preceptors- and all have great positions. I have already found all my preceptors who were very happy to precept without any issues or reservations. Just my two cents on the subject.

J.B.Chan, How are you liking the program? Any words of wisdom? Are you located in Texas and have you started clinicals?

@J.BChan How UTA FNP program coming along? I would like to learn your thoughts on the program. I am planning to apply this semester. Please share your thoughts.
