Hello.
I am from the Philippines and I am hoping to take the CRNE soon. Since there is no access of purchasing CRNE books from this country (at least cheap and convenient ways to), I am using the Saunders, Mosby and other NCLEX reviewers. Some would say CRNE is way different compared with NCLEX. Having said that, am I doing the right thing? Would this help me increase my chance in passing CRNE?
Thanks a lot! :heartbeat

Preparation for the CRNE is completely different from the NCLEX exam. Exam style of questions are different as well as content.
Using the NCLEX books alone is not going to help in passing of that exam. There are several threads written on this topic that are current on the Canadian forum right now, suggest that you have a good read there.
Are you already rostered for that exam? Next one is not going to be until February, so you will have plenty of time to prepare for it. Not sure when you are going there as well.

Have you got a date for sitting the exam? Although there is a date for October if you have not yet booked for that date then your next date will be February as confirmation was last month. The exam is different than NCLEX as are other country's who's exams you have to take. Better t get one of the CRNE books
No date of exams yet. I just want to prepare in advance, since Im still here in the Philippines. :heartbeat

I've just responded to a very similar question in another thread:https://allnurses.com/forums/f75/canadian-rn-exam-324232.html#post3031255
Ive read your post. So, I gathered studying NCLEX is a no-no for CRNE takers. Makes sense. Thanks!
NCLEX is so different from CRNE it doesn't make sense
That's why I agreed that it is not a good idea to read NCLEX books when planning to take CRNE
Not so much a no-no as a big waste of time, and when it doesn't provide the right sort of review and the person fails the exam, a demoralizing and expensive disappointment.
