So today I found out I got accepted into a 16-month concurrent nursing program .
My long term goal is to live in Europe, specifically Sweden. I have read some posts from nurses wanting to work overseas and how they were unable to be licensed because they didn't meet the educational standards of the country they were interested in.
To avoid that, I'm trying to put in my due diligence prior to accepting the reserved seat in the nursing program.
Has anyone moved from the US to Sweden (or anywhere similar) and worked as a nurse? What was the process like? What is your educational background?
If no experience in the above question how about some opinions..
Should I look for schools overseas in Europe since they might have similar educational standards to Sweden? Has anyone heard of any universities in the US that have partnerships with overseas nursing schools? If 3-year study program is a necessity to before you can be licensed in Europe are there any programs that that anyone has heard of that fill in that deficit for students that don't meet that requirement? and just to clarify a 3-year program would be a University program at its normal rate (traditional student)?
Thank you for your assistances!

Most EU countries require a full nursing program and won't accept ABSN/accelerated programs. Yes a traditional BSN program would be closer but most EU programs have significantly more clinical hours.
It's always recommended to train in the country where you intend to live and work as a nurse
