ok here is my question, i schooled in new jersey, but applied for my state boards in new york. after 2 attempts i got fustrated and stopped trying for almost a year n half now. now i found a job in connecticut, abt 4 hours away from new york, settling down and thinking maybe i shud give the exam another try. my question is can i register now in connecticut?and take the exam there?even though my initial registrations and attempts of the exam previouly were all in new york? and if yes, any idea how to go about it?and if NO, does that mean i would have to go back to new york to take the exam?

You will need to apply through the CT BoN and get an authorization to test. Assuming your program is accredited it shouldn't be a problem.
If you already have a current ATT from NY you ca take the NCLEX in CT and then apply for reciprocity for your RN license if you pass.

You can apply from Connecticut BON. I applied twice through Florida BON and third time from Texas BON. It is not a problem at all. I am sorry,But i donno about the process in connecticut.
