HI
I am 19 years old and a sophomore in college but I already feel like a failure. Freshman year I wanted to be in the nursing intent program but it had filled up I had to take psychology instead.
Then I ########up and got a 2.5 GPA for my first semester in college but then redeemed myself a bit and got a 3.0 GPA for the second semester. I was so pissed because I needed a 3.0 GPA cumulative to get into the nursing intent program. Now I am sophomore and my second fall semester grades came out and I got a 2.78 GPA which means I can not get into the nursing intent program. Which means that I might have to transfer to another school but I do not know where because I still have not finished my pre reqs.
I really dont know what to do ???
Please help

Have you spoken with an advisor at your current school? Perhaps they can help guide you to what will be necessary to qualify for the nursing program.
I did speak with the advisor already and she said if I don't have a 3.0 GPA then I have to look else where but I do not know where I can still complete my prereqs and be in the nursing program?

How expensive is your tuition and how many classes do you need? You could look into taking pre-reqs at a community college if your school is very expensive, and then transfer...It is a long process to transfer schools though and nursing specific classes take at least 2 years, so you would probably have to tack on at least another year of school if you do that. What is it that you like about nursing?
Also think about what made your grades slip, is it study skills? Time management? Anxiety with tests? Writing? All the pre-req material and nursing classses are very content heavy, hands on skill based, and rely a lot on testing for evaluation, so consider seeing what your school offers in terms of helping students identifying whatever issues you are having with keeping your grades up.
