So I am very excited that i got in to St Margs and I was wondering if any current or past students had any information that they would like to share? Any helpful hints as far as extra things I may need that the school doesnt include in the packet they send out? Or even just some general information regarding how the school works, anything would be greatly appreciated!!

I go to a school in the area and practiced at St. Margaret's last semester for clinical. It's a great hospital and they have a great nursing program! Some of the soon to be graduating St. Margaret's nurses actually taught me a lot as they were preparing for their NCLEX; you could tell the school really prepared them well. Good luck and enjoy nursing school! Time goes fast!

I find it interesting that there are not many Saint Margaret SON students on here that are starting this fall. Do you know anything about orientation on Sept 2? I am hoping we get something in the mail this week. I have to take A&P and am supposed to have class at Chatham that afternoon...but they said we would have an orientation there too...Two weeks away and I have my class schedule but am still confused about the actual start date (a long time ago I read the 5th but that is a Friday and clinical day) and orientations.

Hey!! First, let me say Congratulations! Second, I'm sorry I can't answer your questions...but was curious what your schedule is like. I plan on applying for Fall 2015. I have A&P 1 complete and I'm doing A&P and micro this semester and next. I told them the pre req's would be complete, and she said my day would be shorter..just curious how the schedule looks. Also did you do any studying for the Psb??
Yes I did study for the psb. There is another forum where I and some others talked about it if you search upmc saint margaret you should find it. This is the first semester so I am not sure how all the others will look but if you have your pre-reqs done you would have class 8-11 m-th and clinical 7-1 fridays.
Oh okay thanks so much...yeah like you said doesn't seem to be a lot of St. Margaret students on here.
