UPDATE on my pt in other thread "Hypotension and when to treat"

Went back to work today, 2 days after the hypotension issue. Had the pt again.

We were no longer giving her Norvasc after that issue, and her BP was normal. 110s-130s.

She was discharged today with PO antibiotics for her UTI. Had no more hypotension after that night.

I hate Norvasc. It is such a bad drug. I have seen more patients and even members of my own family have bad side effects from that. Doc's love that CCB but I hate it..did I say that already?

Also, I dislike Verapakill.

zac, i hate norvasc too........alot. so randomly and carelessly prescribed. i understand pt's bp bottomed out r/t sepsis but question if there were any parameters on when to hold. anyway, she's off it now. thanks for the update!
