Update on pinning ceremony thread!

I received the following emails from the dean of our nursing program and the director of our program...I have deleted specific names and locations as before....

first from the dean:

Sorry about my delay in responding to you. First, Congratulation on your achievement! Your family must be very proud of you. Next, let me correct some misinformation. I have not had the opportunity to talk to any of the students or the their families about pinning so I am not sure who this student's father spoke to. Next, the November Nurses Pinning is scheduled to be held in the Center on November 13,

2007 at 7:00 PM. The students will be able to invite as many people as they would like. I also want to assure you that the administration values all of programs, activities and events equally. The health occupations programs and students have obviously benefitted from

this philosophy with our new building. Have a great day!

To all graduating Practical and Associate Degree Students:

I just got word yesterday morning (10-11-07) that the Dean has changed the location of the Nurses Pinning Ceremony to the Center. This will allow you to invite family and friends to the ceremony and not worry about seating or tickets. The invitations have already been sent to printing and should be ready in the bookstore this next week. You will have to add a note in your invitations regarding the change in location. The date and time will remain the same: November 13th, Tuesday at 7:00 pm.

I apologize for any added stress that this may have caused you, but I think this will please the majority of you and will allow you to fully celebrate your accomplishments with your family and friends.
