UNLV Nursing Spring of 2018

Published

I am applying for unlv school of nursing this fall for spring admission in 2018. Was curious if anybody was considering applying and the scores along with it. Very nervous I won't get in due to how high the score was for fall of 2017. I stand at an overall score of 91.8 and I am applying without micro. Let me know if anyone else is in the same boat.

I spoke with an advisor yesterday I would recommend taking microbiology before applying so you will have higher chances of getting in since the cut off was so high this fall. I'm hoping to apply for the fall 2018! Good luck

I actually have an overall of 92.5 points now, im going to apply for spring and if i dont get in for summer.

I already got accepted into nursing school at Roseman for the Feb. '18 cohort. I am looking at UNLV as well. The only classes I need to take is MATH120 and the Nevada Constitution. I don't know where I stand at with the point system and all that. I have a good GPA, but I don't think I am "unlv competitve" for the program. :(

Has any of you heard good things about Roseman? I'm doing the ABSN which is mostly online, but UNLV has a better reputation than the rest of the schools in Las Vegas. I'm slightly new to the Nevada school system because I moved to Las Vegas a year ago.

Jsholland8 Goodluck! Did you take the Hesi yet if so If you don't mind me asking how was it ?

You should check out the Unlv Nursing website! It has all the information you need to know about the program there. To get into the program they check your sciences which are biology 223,224,251 , Chemistry, Math 120 or 124 and Nurs.299 and they check the entrance exam which is the Hesi . The advisor I spoke to told me to get at least a 90% or better in the Hesi exam. But recommends to get at least all A's in the sciences, math, and Nurs.299

I've never heard about Roseman I've heard more of Chamberlin.

Hesi was not too bad, i scored 100 on anatomy, 94 in math which i should have done better but i rushed. And an 88 on grammar and 84 reading comp. overall i got a 91.5. I have all A's in my sciences and math but idk if i will get in lol.

You well get in lol don't stress it ! The advisor I spoke with said if you get above a 90% on the Hesi and have all A's in the classes they count then you will most likely get in.

Hey guys! I was ready to apply for the fall term, but I had a feeling the cutoff was gonna be really high. I hope the cutoff for spring will be similar to last spring which is 91.1. When is your guys signing session?

Anyway, good luck to everyone!

What are you applying with? And my signing session is october 5th

Does anyone know if the signing seesions have been full??
