University of Toledo CON

I've been getting some rather disheartening feedback on the status of this program. I.e.: lack of preceptorships, disorganized program, etc. I've had bad luck with another nursing program in the past and I certainly don't want to rush into a new one and graduate unprepared. Does anyone have any thoughts/opinions on their program?

I currently am a pre-nursing student at UT just starting the nursing pre-reqs. The nursing advisor could not have been more wonderful. The second I switched from pre-med to nursing I knew I made the right decision. She had all my information, told me exactly the game plan of what to take/do, and made it really easy and exciting. the nursing advising staff truly have a passion for student success. I can only speak on my behalf, but so far so good! I hear too that the upper division is very competitive and strenuous, but it's all worth it. I wish you best of luck in your future endeavors!

Thanks for the response. I've had great experiences with 95% of the faculty in the CON. Since this posting, I've applied to the program, was accepted, and I'm in my second week of first semester upper division this summer. Definitely VERY hard and VERY time consuming but it's all a part of the process. I've already met some amazing people--your peers will get you through emotionally intact, lol. Good luck to you and keep that GPA up ;)
