I am graduating from this program next week! I definitely recommend it!
It took 13 months for me to complete it....not sure if it varies depending on when you start. I started Feb, 2009.
There are no classes during Christmas break.
It's not too time-demanding, and for the most part, it is clear what is expected of you. There aren't any tests that have been designed to fail you out.
Good luck to you all!
The participating hospitals were on the form that I had to turn back in. If I remember correctly it was Parkland, Baylor, Texas Health Resources, and John Peter Smith.
UT Southwestern is also a partnership facility.

Congratulations to you. I am interested in this program. I thought this program was 18 months long. Is this self paced or what?
How many pre requisites are there? Can you do your pre requisites at any other college because uta is expensive?
I will really appreciate your big help.
Thanks

I received an e-mail a few weeks ago stating that the traditional track (not online) fall program letters wouldn't be going out until mid-May. The ONLINE program with the fall start date won't have letter sent out until JULY, according to this e-mail.
I'm a bit concerned because UTA seems to be so unorganized lately. Hopefully the problems of the advising and admissions department aren't a sign of things to come during the program...
As far as prerequisites, it's my understanding that the only prerequisites they want you to take at UTA are the 3 nursing prerequisites - patho, pharm, and concepts of professional nursing. You can take your science prereqs and others at Northlake or another community college!

Hi, I just found out about this program and I was interested in this as well. I spoke with an advisor today and she told me that as long as you meet the requirements, you're in the BSN online academic partnership program. Also, there's not really a limit on the entering class because the partnership hospitals are fine with this. Is this right? It sounded funny to me.
Hmm... I hadn't heard that. ? A UTA advisor told you that? Interesting....
No yea, I thought it was funny too. I wasn't sure if she was just trying to get me to apply. Can anybody tell me any more information on it like the acceptance rate, average GPA and hesi and any more info on getting in? I couldn't believe what she was telling me because then it's the easiest program I know of to get into.
I'm not really sure. I personally know people who have low 3 GPAs (e.g. 3.1, 3.2) and have gotten into the program...
Oh, do you know if that was their science gpa or their overall gpa?
Overall, with a less than 4.0 science.
