Hi all,

I am applying for the AP BSN Program for the Spring 2011 and was wondering if anyone has received any word on the acceptance letter or any information in general? I am really hoping to get into the program for Spring of 2011 and am extremely nervous. I honestly dont think ill be able to get into the program because my GPA isn't as competitive as others who are applying. Well any information on anything will be extremely helpful!

Hey I am actually applying to University Of Texas Health Science Center in Houston for Fall 2011! Anyways all the schools that I have been to information session wise say that they have given out most of their acceptance letters for spring already. But hopefully yours is making its way to you!! Good Luck!

Oh really??? Did u by any chance hear anything about the UTA AP Online BSN Program acceptance letter for next spring? Please let me know. Any information would be very helpful. Thanks, kat

Is there anyone who applied for Spring '12 partnered with Good Shepherd Medical Center-Longview or from East Texas with hopes of being partnered with GSMC?

I did! I am trying to get a part time position with Good Shepherd also but haven't yet. I have applied already and put that I wanted GSMC as my partner hospital. That is what my coach said to do. I asked when we would hear if we were accepted and she told me by Nov. What have you heard?

@ShellyE, Sorry, I haven't been on here in a while. I have applied to the program for Spring '12. I used to work at Good Shepherd, so I spoke with a few ex-coworkers and they had heard nothing about the program and didn't know anyone applying. I did talk to someone who said that GSMC was accepting 20 people instead of 10 and that whether you were partnered or not, you still have a good chance. I take it as there are not many applicants. I only know of one other person besides myself who has applied and she doesn't work there either. I have a few people keeping their ears open for me, so I'll let you know if I hear anything else. Good Luck!!

Hey, I was wondering if you've heard anything from UTA or any stats on GSMC's applicants.

I have actually removed my application. I wasn't able to finish up my last 2 classes in time due to family issues. So I will reapply next session. Good Luck to everyone!!!

I just got a call that I could go to the San Antonio or Longview program. Seeing as that I don't have a plan B nor do I have children, I am going to jump on it. Now I have to make the decision of which one. Do I move to San Antonio or Commute to Longview.

I don't know much about the San Antonio clinical site other than that it is HCA Methodist. I am thinking it is the one that UTHSCSA rotates at but I'm not sure. I have not found anyone that has done the San Antonio program.

Longview has a new Innovative Learning Site that they recently built but I am worried about the commute and how rotating at a rural hospital will look on my resume when looking for a job. I want to work in a urban setting. I'll accept all advice!! Please let me know what ya'll think. I have until monday to decide.
