Had a great group with my hollistic health assessment and thought I would see if there are anymore nurses starting nursing research 2/25?

Holistic health assessment was a beast...this class is just confusing with the directions and assignments..but I guess I'll wait and see.

Did holistic health assessment require any group work? After Research class, I'm ready to take on ANY difficult class as long as I won't deal with freeloaders!

Holistic assessment is a class where YOU are responsible for your grade. I had issue with my coach but it worked out at the end.

It is very time consuming and you need to write A LOT and often very repetitive stuff...like a 24hours diet.

Go to your gradebook. I did not have a pop-up notifying me that my grade had been updated. You can also review the comments in the file exchange. Honestly, I have to say that our group is great (which I am extremely thankful for) but if you don't want to fail I realized sometimes you are going to have to do the work for other group members.

I thought the 1st assignment was ridiculous. I think they want us to purposefully fail. I HATE this class because other people can cause you to fail. Our group lost 11.5 points out of 32. Ridiculous.

I also think they throw 1-5 out there without any direction. Most people have never done research and have no clue what they are asking for.

Omg that is a 64! She said that if y'all correct it again, you can bring it up to a 70.

How do you see what the grade was?

Ours was under the file exchange, from the course. We got a 24.5 which is a 76. I am not use to getting anything less than a 95 on these assignments and this is rough! Especially when I kept saying that our final draft was wrong, which was not changed, and that took 3 points off of our grade!

I personally check into the group 1-3 times a day, everyday! There are some that have not checked in 4 days! I do believe that the coach sees this, correct?

It is a frustrating class. I am going to have to literally check everyone's work as of now. I am disgusted with this class. I am not going to mess up my grades....absolutely not!!! I going to have to be real vigilant.

Thanks, got it. Yeah after everyone turned it in i went back over it with the rubric next to me.....we did pretty good regardless of me doing that.

I'm reading this forum and shivering in fear. WTH is going on in that class man?!!! Have any of u spoken with ur coach or the teacher regarding ur group members???? I mean just reading this makes me hate this class and I'm not even in it yet!

I have spoken to my coach about certain members in week 1. She said she is very fair with the grading and to make sure I tell her who is not participating enough. I have no idea if we all got the same grade or the ones who weren't helpful got less? there is no way to check that. I noticed however that they seem to be more involved with the assignments this week. I'm not sure if the coach spoke to them or is it my consistent pushing for them to do more and being straight-forward with them about my frustrations. I learned that most people are followers and rather be told what to do then doing the actual thinking and figuring out how to devide assignments...etc I personally like to be in charge and know what the heck is going on with everything if my grade is being affected. I have accepted that I have to do double work with this class and correct others' answers for the sake of having a decent grade! I was very frustrated to find out that I'm working way more than others but I realized that I should save that energy and stay as positive as possible to keep on going in this class!
