University of Texas Arlington NP spring 2014- Any Houston commuters?

Published

Anyone commuting from Houston?? I've been told it's been done in the past by a graduate adviser but it can be strenuous.

I'll be entering The University of Texas at Arlington's Nurse Practitioner (MHNP) for Spring 2014 semester but commuting from Houston, TX for the entire program.

Looking for advice from those that have gone before me and, oh yea, an ally.

I'm applying for an NP program in a week so I'm really freaking out about the resume portion. Do you have any tips?

I just got an email that UTA now offers the MSN FNP 100% online.

When does the online option begin? Is it fall 2014?

According to my ApplyTexas application, it starts Summer 2014.

There isn't a lot of information available about this yet it seems. I got the email and it said 24 months, 51 credit hours, and about 33K in tuition. Their website doesn't give much more information either.

I'be sent out an email and tried calling them to get more specifics, but since it's the holidays it may be January before I hear back.

HouTXRN, Did you start the PMHNP in Spring 2014? How was the application process? I'm waiting on a letter regarding entry (or not) into the fall 2014 PMHNP class. Deadline was 6/15, so, hoping decisions will be soon. How many times did you apply? IF I am lucky to get in, I will be commuting 2hrs 45 min from middle of nowhere Texas! I don't mind because there is Starbucks on the way, at least! Just curious how long you had to wait after deadline to your acceptance, etc. How did your first semester go? Thanks!
