University of Southern Maine MSN Options Program 2019 Cohort

Published

Hi everyone!

I'm just opening up a thread so that we all have a place to post updates regarding the MSN Options program at USM! I applied in early October and it seems like people usually start receiving decisions in mid-to-late-December? I can't believe we're already coming up on that time. Who else has applied for the 2019 MSN Options cohort?

Best of luck to everyone!!

Hi ya'll! I applied in late October for the PMHNP track. I am so excited we will be hearing back soon! Thanks for sharing the estimated decision date ems2019!

Hey there! That's wonderful; I applied for the FNP track. I remember thinking all along the application process (studying for the GRE, editing my essay, etc.) that that process would be the hardest part and life would be easy after I submitted everything. I know now that that wasn't true, and instead, waiting for a decision is definitely the hardest part! :) I recently relocated from Kennebunk to Saco, so I'm not sure whether the letter will arrive at my old house or my new one! I'll be having my parents check the Kennebunk house daily!!

Are you living in Maine currently, KoalaBat3498?

It's so hard to wait! :) I'm actually living in TN but have extended family in Portland, ems2019.

Anyone heard anything yet? I keep checking my application status for a check mark, and it's driving me bonkers.

Nothing yet on my end. I imagine as finals week comes to a close, we'll hear something. I keep checking mainestreet too! But I'll let you guys know (good or bad) when I receive a decision.

Welcome, btw, Arose2! What track did you apply for?

Hey guys! Just checked mainestreet and I was accepted!! I applied to the FNP track. Good luck to everyone!

Omg congratulations as23!!! I haven't seen any changes on my application status. Pretty nervous!

Just checked mainestreet and the green circle has miraculously changed into a green check mark! I applied for the PMHNP track.

It's torture waiting for this stuff. ems2019 it's still early. Give it another two weeks. They send acceptance letters out in waves. Early rejections get sent out first -then acceptance letters- then waitlists and late rejections towards end of month and early january (imagine late rejections have to do with the waitlist numbers). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Congratulations arose2!!!! That's so exciting! :) I feel really dumb for asking this but what is mainestreet?

Arose2 thank you so much for the advice. Congratulations on your acceptance!! You must be so thrilled!! I am really hoping my green circle changes into a check mark. All the waiting is driving me crazy!

KoalaBat, mainestreet is the UMaine system's server. So if you're already a student; you've got a login/username. If not, I'm not sure if they'll give you a sign-on until after you're accepted.

Thank you for the clarification, ems2019! I have never been a student in UMaine, so I must not have an account. The suspense is draining!
