Hi everyone!
I just submitted my application for the University of Southern Maine (USM)'s accelerated BSN program for a Summer 2022 start date.
I am an in-state applicant who has lived in the state for about seven years and graduated from a Maine state school (not USM) with a 3.95 GPA. I'm currently working toward a CNA certification and completing prerequisites. These are my prereq grades thus far:
I'm taking Microbiology in the fall, too. Really hoping that I get into the program. Just wanted to make a thread in case there are any other USM hopefuls on this forum. ?

Hi Kim--you sound like a great candidate!! Sending lots of good wishes your way. I just applied, too--I got my BA in English Lit 5 years ago and had a 3.9 GPA, but I'm still working through my A&P prereqs and don't have any clinical experience, so not feeling super hopeful.
Hi everyone--wondering if anyone's heard anything yet? I'm anxiously waiting! ?

Congrats to everyone who got into the ABSN program this year! Does anyone know what things are prioritized in applications to USM? For example, do you know if they favor previous undergrad GPA versus pre-requisite GPA versus volunteering etc. I’m starting pre-requisites now and would love some insight. Thanks!
