University of New Brunswick - Fredericton Advanced Standing Program Information?

Published

Hello,

I have been accepted into the UNB Advanced Standing Program - Bachelor of Nursing 2 year program. I have some questions regarding program quality and career preparedness.

I have heard some people complaining of the disorganization of the program and have some concerns. I am looking for current student feedback regarding this, as well as clinical placements and thoughts on the program. As well, does anyone know how many students are admitted into this program each year?

I am eager to hear the good and bad, as well as any advice anyone out there might have regarding this program. I am waiting to hear back from U. of Calgary and U. of Toronto, as they both have the 2 year fast track programs (for people that already have a degree from a recognized University). I am unsure as to what school has the best program...

Thanks for the replies in advance.

Wendy

The ASP at UNB in Fredericton is good. I think like almost any nursing program it does suffer from some disorganization. But you get to finish a BN in two years, so a little disorganization is worth it I think.
