I started at Oakland University and finished my prereq's so that I could at least be on a wait list. OU said it would about 3 years:( Then over the spring and summer semesters I took classes so that I could apply to St. Clair County Community College because I didnt want to wait 3 years to start nursing school. Out of fluke I decided to just throw my application to University of Michigan Flint. I really did not think I would get accepted, but I did for the fall 2011! I still have not heard back from SC4... Now I just recieved a letter from OU stating that I have been moved up on the wait list for Winter 2012! SO WHAT DO I DO? Should I wait and continue at OU? I'm eager to just start nursing school I'm not picky. I guess my question is which nursing school is better UMF or OU. I also considered finances, driving time, and credits. Im stuck! Though UMF will have me start faster, not everything will transfer and I will be taking spring and summer classes. IDK... and then what about SC4? Its cheaper and I will be able to take my nclex sooner and I wouldnt have too many classes to take to finish BA.... If you were in my position where would you attend and why?

I am a firm believer in the Community Colleges, you get your work done faster and are out working, then you can do an 18 month BSN ONLINE!!!!! No driving, work schedules dont need to be adjusted, save on $$ for food, ect... But in the end you have to go where you can. Good luck:)

I would definately go with either U of M or OU. I would not even consider doing the cc thing why waste all that time when you could just go straight for your BSN which in this job market you really need to make yourself as marketable as possible. As for choosing between the two, I would look at cost, distance, and are both programs the same amount of time. I've personally heard many good things about both programs so I think either would be great :) Good Luck!!!!! Let us know what you choose
