Hi, I start the university of Miami next week for the Arnp adult-geriatric program. I'm really nervous, and was wondering if anyone in this program or graduated from this program can give me some insight on how difficult it really is, especially since the first two classes I take are advanced pharm and advanced patho. Also, when I look at the plan of study, and compare it to FNP, it looks like it's only 9 classes (not including labs), is this accurate? Any advice, tips, tricks and or encouragement much appreciated. Go Canes!

Congratulations on getting accepted!! I heard great things about the program! Are you going full-time or part-time? I also was told they offer a refresher course on patho and pharm before the program starts, is that true? Advanced patho, pharm, and adv health assessments are supposed to be challenging, and you should be putting in about 20-40 hours per week of studying. Good luck and lets us know how things go for you!
Part Time. The refresher course is just like an online review with pre-tests and post tests. I'll still be working full time, so part time it is. Idk anybody in the program or graduate from it, so I'm pretty nervous.
