Hi! Just starting this thread for University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) MECN 2025. Good luck!

I'd feel a lot better about waiting longer if we at least had an estimate/timeline

agreed. UCLA is being SUPER unprofessional about all this. We all paid money and worked hard on these applications, the least they could do was keep their word OR communicate the reason for the delay and give an update. smh. not a good reflection of how I expect them to handle issues in the future.

I'm sure they're working hard to give yall information as soon as they can. Could have been the fires. Try to be patient, it should be coming soon.

I emailed them a bit ago, and they told me they haven't released decisions yet and will notify the GDE to give us updates, it was a day or two ago. I also have a reddit going and no one has received updates.

On my UCLA I don't have holds? It just says I'm not registered for Summer so I can't enroll.

Any word

Nope! 😞 Anyone email the Grad dept about the hold on accounts?

Makes me sad they are having Admitted Graduate Students Day today and tomorrow but none of us know if we are admitted or not... like they just forgot about us. Yeah there's another day in April but that's a month away 🙄 like whyyyyyy do we have to be the first and only year to be soooo delayed like this?? so annoying and frustrating.

Really? For mecn or just other grad programs?

it's for all newly admitted graduate level students. most programs have heard back already

Do we think that these delays are due to the current administration's dismantling of the Dept of Education? I live in LA and I doubt it has anything to do with the fires.

I applied to UC Irvine and those decisions came out about 2 weeks ago. Not sure what is taking UCLA so long, don't think it's anything related to fires

That's what I was thinking! Especially bc they won't give us an explanation. I think they are scrambling RN.

Did anyone get updates from them today? Wondering if tomorrow is even a possibility.
