umhb 2016 admissions

Published

Hello :Hellboy: I am applying to the fall 2016 nursing program at Mary Hardin-baylor in belton, I wanted to see who else is applying or has gotten into this program? I'm very nervous and wanted to see if anyone knew how competitive it is and how many apply each semester vs. How many get accepted. I'd really appreciate any info!

I'll be applying this fall god willing

I've applied for this fall and it seems promising. They take 120 which is a pretty high number. And because it's a private school with higher tuition, I don't think as many people apply.

I have a 3.55 GPA and make an 81 on the Kaplan and everyone I spoke to while I was there said I should get in.

Hope that helps!

I applied for this fall also. I have a 3.35 overall and only about 2 more classes left to finish. They allow you to do one science either micro or Chem the first semester your in the program. I made a 62 on the Kaplan not so good but at least I got over the minimum. I know two people who are in the program and they like it one got in with a Gpa of 3.06 so if she got in then I'm sure you can too. I'm patiently waiting for April to know! Lol

Hi all!

I kind of last minute applied to UMHB for Fall 2016. I scored a 78% on the Kaplan, I have a 3.3 gpa and am only missing public speaking. I hold a bachelors in Physiology and am hoping to get into UMHB as a 2nd degree seeking student. I've heard that UMHB has a pretty good acceptance rate (I've heard stories that people who have failed ADN programs have applied and gotten in at UMHB). I've heard it's an excellent program. I am hoping since the cost is so high and it's a private school that will increase the chances of getting in. I work in behavioral health doing therapy with children on the Autism Spectrum and I really want to pursue becoming a pediatric nurse. Hopefully we will find out soon about admission's decisions! Good luck.
