Hello all. Who is applying to the schools listed in the title? Which is your 1st and last pick. I applied to all the schools and am strongly considering UMDNJ Fall 08. :)

Good luck getting into your first choice! I've applied for the summer 2008 entrance into the Accelerated program at UMDNJ, but I haven't heard from them yet. I was wondering if you knew any information about how long it typically takes UMDNJ to respond to its applicants? Thanks again.

I am in my second semester at UMDNJ and it is not only intense but unorganized. If you have not heard from them and really want to attend this school make a trip to the school of nursing office and ask to speak to the Dean her office is on the 11th floor.
Good luck to you.
I've been accepted into UMDNJ for the Summer 2008 entrance and I'm so excited to have finally received something!!
I just have to say that God is good all of the time:bowingpur. Good luck to all of those who are still applying or are waiting to hear something!!!

I applied to both SHU/UMDNJ. I am hoping to hear back soon. When did you apply that you already heard back?
I applied In December for the Summer of 2008, so that's probably why I've heard back already. You can actually call the school and find out if they have started looking at the applications for the Fall. Good Luck !:wink2:

I applied to UMDNJ Fall 08 and I am applying to NJCU Fall 08. I hope to get into NJCU because I think it is more affordable. Has anyone gone to or been accpeted to the NJCU program?

Hey, about UMDNJ's Accel BSN Program.....it IS VERY disorganized, so just be sure you know "what your're getting into", as far as the stress etc due to the "lack of student focus" there. They are much more concentrating on their 10-15 Master's track courses. They know their Accel BSN is pretty much the only game in town, in terms of it being one of the 2 cheapest in NJ (UMD & Rutgers). Just "hold on for the ride" if you decide to go there. There are ONLY 2 advantages:
1) relatively cheap (for an Accel program), and
2) You get thru in 15 months. Believe me....most of the instructors are mediocre. The Asst Dean running the program (not the Big Dean of whole school), but the Asst Dean, is really a light-weight....sides with the faculty all the time. No one goes to her for anything.
What can I tell ya....it AIN'T PRETTY up there. So, just "grin and bear it"!!
Got into SHU!!!!

I graduated from UMDNJ in May 2007 and I agree that it was not as organized as I would have liked or expected it to be. HOWEVER, that is nothing compared to your future career as a nurse, especially the first year. If you can't hack the disorganization of nursing school, you're honestly going to have an extremely difficult time with your prospective career as a RN.
Just some advice from a RN in his 1st year of nursing: learn to keep your cool, especially in the face of chaos. Concentrate on adaptation and endurance because you will need these skills on the job. Concentrate of controlling the chaos and not letting it control you. Unfortunately, disorganization is part of nursing. The patient population is so diverse that you cannot possibly expect to have sunny days everyday.
Good luck!
Congrats. When did you get your letter. I am still waiting to here back from them. I still have 2 classes to take so I am not sure if that will have weight on whether or not I am accpeted
I heard from them on Tuesday. I have to take a few in the summer too so it didnt affect my timing to hear back. They changed the program- there is no longer an accelerated BSN- it is a CNL Masters so if you are accepted thats what its going to be from now on.
Hope you hear soon!!!
