UK Visa IELTS Life Skills New Process

Published

I found out about this new system recently. It involves applicants opting to go to UK to take this newly founded assessment system. I am quite concerned whether my application for NMC would still be recognized. I took the IELTS exam March 14 last month and based from the information on the British Council website, they will still be acknowledging IELTS results before April 6,2015. Any IELTS test taker that will be taking exams April 6 this month onwards should undergo the new process. Any applicant experiencing the same dilemma as I am? Please voice out your ideas. There might be some information I don't know. Maybe I will need to take the new assessment system too.

Hi Jahmil!

Just like you, I had the same issue as well but just when I was about to email my agency for clarification, They were prompt to send an email informing me (I haven't even took the test yet) that our employer still requires the regular ielts.

On the otherhand, our agency's other UK employer requires its candidates who haven't sat for the exam to take the IELTS Life skills in accordance to the new policy.

Since it seems to be an as per employer basis, its best to clarify with your agency/employer their ielts requirement.

It is also my concerns. I suppose to take IELTS this April 30 the regular kind. However due to numbers of updates I'm having delema which IELTS is needed. my agency said I can still take the regular IELTS, but as I read some of the news it says I should take the UKVI, who else here have the same problem?

@Reizel_30

May I know under what agency/employer are you under?

By the way, with regards to my post above, it should've been UKVI Academic and not Life Skills.

@https://allnurses.com/member-363214/ HCL-IPAMS, they just called me this afternoon and said i can still take regular academic module,

Hcl-ipams,,how about you?

I'm under IPAMS -CTN but from what I heard, you guys from hcl have the option to choose whether to take the regular ielts or the ukvi. CTN on the otherhand through an email sent by ipams stipulated that the former still needs the regular version. I'm really confused which one to take as all the information available on the internet points down to one thing, that our case requires ukvi.

I hope if i will take the regulat ielts, there will be no problem in immigration in the future, I can not take the ukvi again, it is so stressing and expensive,

may i ask are you done with your ielts? If not, when do you plan to take it?and what ielts??

thank you

I haven't sat for the ielts yet and I plan on taking it on May. I'll be taking the regular one as per ipams' instruction. How about you, regular or ukvi academic?

Hi I am also under IPAMS/CTN. They also instructed me to take the regular IELTS Academic Module. =)

I have the same dilemma here. I am under IPAMS - HCL Wye Valley NHS scheduled to take the IELTS on 30 April. I was advised that the academic module is still accepted by the NMC, but for visa purposes, UKVI is required.

Hi guys! Is idp ielts accepted in UK?
