UK RMN Making up hours???

Hi all,

Thanks so much to everyone who answered my agency vs independant question your info was very useful.

BUT it has of course sparked another question :idea: someone said it was hard to make up hours in the UK, I know I will need to make up hours and I was wondering could I go to the USA in particular New Jersey on an F1 student visa and make up the classes at a college there? My sister who lives in NJ is going to ask the local community college if they will allow me to do this but I can I do this from a visa point of view.

Then if I can go to the states on an F1 student visa once my classes were done could I find an employer and get them to sponser me and remain in the states studying for and taking my NCLEX RN and be issued my Green Card in the States?

You may be able to do this with any recognised nusing school in the US and should be able to do this as a guest student and just make up the hours required. I think Suzanne the moderator on here is moving but sure she will be able to answer a bit better, also suggest a search on here as there have been a few UK nurses with this problem

I think there will be a issue on staying but suzanne will answer better
