hi there I am a registered paediatric nurse in the uk looking for some advice on the possibility of moving to work in canada. I have looked at the NNAS website and have began filling in the forms but before paying such a large amount of money for the NNAS to determine if my degree will be valid wanted to check if anyone had some insight into this? I have tried searching the web with little luck or very outdated posts so if anyone has any knowledge on if its possible for a UK qualified Paediatric nurse to work in canada as a registered nurse I would be very thankful!

A lot will depend on your transcripts and whether they show clinical and theory hours in Paeds, Mental Health, Obstetrics and Adult as Canadian training is general not specialized
I don’t really have much experience in fields other than paediatrics as my course didn’t have much clinical experience in other areas but thank you for the advice!
What some provinces are doing is getting you over for an assessment which will decide on whether you have enough experience or need to do some courses before sitting NCLEX
Okay I see! Thank you for your help x
