UK Nurse Registration Full Application and Assessment stage before OSCE

Published

Hi People

I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.

I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.

I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!

Hello,

Anybody here who is a shifter from other course to nursing? What shall i do with the education verification forms? Do i need a letter of explanation from my nursing university that i shifted and some subjects were creditted?

One more thing, for Ex-Saudi workers? In the absence of a police clearance NMC said that exit visa is enough. Do i need to have the exit stamp in my passport translated?

Thank you so much.

so if you're still employed, will you write the end date the same as end of employment (which is the date you'll submit the online application form?)

That is right Maam.

so if you're still employed, will you write the end date the same as end of employment (which is the date you'll submit the online application form?)

I was told to write "current" on mine for the end date when I was still working in that job. If you have an agency you're going through maybe double check with them.

i have the same dilemma as yours... :( what will you write? did you get any clarifications?

HI everyone? Another question, please please help me. for the school, there is a page in the form asking for theoretical hours and clinical hours. my school just wrote clinical hours which is around 2,200hours, will the nmc accept this one? or should I asked my school to write also the theoretical hours

You will need theoretical hours with a breakdown of subjects iampresrn or it will come back and forth to you

Thank you. Just for another clarification. What does block letters mean? My supervisor wrote her email address in small letters, is that alright?

Block letters means capital letters. It should be ok but if in doubt then get them to fill in another form.

Daisy,

I hopefully will be interested in some study assistance soon. However, I do have a questions I hope you can help me with. I am a nurse from the USA with a bachelors degree in nursing, from a well noted university also. I am having difficulty with my transcripts being accepted due to the fact that the USA higher education is based upon the credit system and not specifically broken down into theory and clinical hours. My university registrar did do a breakdown of my transcripts for me after talking with the NMC, however I believe they only included theory hours. The forms provided by the NMC for my nurses training do include both theory and clinical hours.

Do you have suggestions for me in how to go about making sure all is done correctly in the submission of my application? I had a wonderful nurses training program, graduated with honours from University and I have had a very successful career for 20 years in the USA. I wish to live and work in the UK so I can be with my partner permanently. I've had to do resubmissions of differing documents and I feel that I am missing something significant in my process of application. Help!?

Hello guys, how do I call Nmc from here in Philippines..? Is there a long distance prepaid card for that? I just need to call Nmc personally.. Please help..

Hi Janice,

It's so frustrating when things are returned mid-process...

My suggestion would be to contact the Uni and ask them to provide evidence of the clinical learning hours as this appears to be the only part lacking for you, as I understand.

What did the last correspondence say?
