I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
yes you are right, there has been some confusion with the Transcript of Training and the Academic Transcript. My university did not supply this, maybe they were confused too! The Academic Transcript was sent to NMC. What is even more confusing though is the lady who emailed me keeps calling the form I sent the Transcript of Training !! I did state in my last email to my university that it has to come from them with original signature and university stamp etc so am now just waiting. With regards to the unit descriptions, I was just going to send them anyway while I was waiting as I'm at the stage now where I will send them anything extra!! Surely they couldn't query downloads from an official University web site???? It's frustrating waiting for documents when you are in another country....... And so the waiting continues
Hi guys! Regarding police clearance, I have been living here in the UK since 2008 but came from a non EU country. I have an old NBI clearance which I first brought with me and I have CRB also covering 2009 yo present. Does anybody know which will be most appropriate to submit? CRB or old NBI? Thanks in advance.
So, they rejected your declaration of health form because it was completed by a NP? Only MD completed forms will be accepted? Nowhere on the requirements does it say that! In fact, it says your employee health department can complete it...which for me is a NP. How frustrating. Thanks for the heads-up though.
U need to submit new police Clearence . U can't submit old Police Clearence and CRB. U cn apply in ur home country embassy for current police Clearence in uk. I m in uk since 2007 and I have to submit too. It shouldn't be more thn 3 months old.
Hi thank you for the advice. So I need to contact our embassy I London and get a police clearance. Is that what you have done? When did you take C BT. ? All your documents have been submitted to nmc? Probably the file sizes are too huge. I experienced the same, I tried to reduce the file sizes and it worked for me. Hope this helps
I have a question regarding transfer of documents from the old system to the new one.
I have registered under the old system and all my documents were approved , thus received an assessment letter stating I need to take an ONP. I have been transitioned to the new system and passed the CBT and I have emailed the transitions section in order for to transfer my documents so I can take the OSCE . Yet I have received a respond that does not apply to my situation. Does anyone here have the same situation like I do? And how did you manage to transfer your documents including the forms that were filled out by employers for references and by the University , by the registration authority and by the GP ?
