UK Nurse Registration Full Application and Assessment stage before OSCE

Published

Hi People

I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.

I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.

I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!

Ok thanks for the info...

All my documents have been received in the portal..but i did not received any email confirmation from them..so i am not yet in assessment queue? Because i am currently overseas and if they will ask for another NBI clearance it would be difficult to process.

Hi hellsing

Congratulation that u receive your decision letter. Did u book OSCE?

It's best to e-mail them to know your status.

Thanks. My Trust will be responsible for booking my OSCE because they need it to apply for my certificate of sponsorship which by the way is having a lot of issues as of the moment if everyone has seen the the news lately on the UK's June CoS allocation.

I think my NBI clearance is beyond the 3 month period. I've just gotten my latest NBI. Will I send it on [email protected]?

I emailed NMC today to verify the date when they received all my documents. I believe, their side note "this doc has been received" appear later than the actual date they received the doc. Hoping for a quick reply because it takes them a week or so to respond.

Secured my NBI clearance 9th of March and was only able to upload the necessary docs in the portal 1st-2nd week of April. The rest of the barcoded forms were sent right away. Some were noted received 2nd-3rd week of May and 1st week of June and the rest were noted 3rd week of June. If the police clearance is only valid for 3 months by the time NMC received "all" documents then, I suppose my clearance is already past the allowed time frame?

Guys like I said, it's always best to email them regarding any concerns or queries because when they reply even though it takes a week or so for them to, it's in written format which means it's more reliable of a response coming from them.

if you want a faster response, better call them and speak to an agent. Agent's don't have much access to your application if it's still in the assessment queue so you can ask them to consult with the international team regarding expired NBI clearances etc. because the internaional team handles our papers. In my experience, consulting with agents alone gives me a headache because of their inconsistent answers that's why I resort to email because I could use their responses as reference. Most agents speak as if they are not interested in helping you out but there are some that are really helpful, you just have to be really assertive.

Going back to the NBI Clearance, in my fellow applicants case, he was asked to mail them a new clearance because the one he uploaded was already expired. They won't accept you emailing it to them. They will only accept the new one by post and then scan it again and put you back at the bottom of the queue for reassessment. Sad to say, there is no fast track way if they need additional documents from you if you are for reassessment that's why I advise that before clicking submit and sending all your forms to them, you have to make sure everything is perfect. Otherwise, you are really going to wait for a very long time. The sad reality of the NMC's system

Hi ....i sent an email 2 weeks ago for some verification on my application..and today NMC emailed me that assessment stage will start and according to them it usually takes 70 days provided that it is complete.

the waiting game started for me...hope there will be no more documents needed .:roflmao:

Hi there.... Do I need to send the original document of employment reference nd declaration of good health or the copy of it? Can anyone guide me on this plzz?

Hi guys...i received a mail from NMC after 8 weeks of waiting today just to be told that i need to resubmit police clearance issued within the last 3 months. This is so fustrating. I was also told that i might have to wait for 10 weeks again. I going to resubmit the new police clearances and forget about NMC for a while...good luck guys.

@Dee1986: that's terrible :(

when din you.secure your clearance and when did you submit your application?

Hey good day everyone.. any body here tied up with IPAMS-CTN? Just wondrin if anybody have received an email with regards to medical and poea reqts?thanks alot and God bless

Hi everyone,

I received feedback from NMC after 60 days.

The NMC asked me to download and complete a t/a reference form to confirm exposure to geriatrics. According to them I am lacking clinical training hours in geriatrics.

Does anybody knows who are authorized to fill out the t/a reference form? Is it the school or my current employer?

Any reply would be highly appreciated
