Hi People
I am a UK born citizen trained in Australia hence I am going via the overseas trained route. I passed my CBT test and am in the full application and assessment stage.
I am interested in sharing information with people who are also in this stage of the application.
I commenced my application in 2013 under the old process which was rejected due to lack of clinical hours. I received a letter from NMC advising me of the new process. Like many people on this forum, this entire process has been long, drawnout, frustrating and tedious for me!!!!!!!
HSo, my question to everyone here is that - does authorization to take the OSCE have a validity period, if so, how long? (I remember that there was a required timeline for the assessment stage but I'm not sure for this stage, and I'm sorry for bringing this up here I have asked NMC but they just haven't responded yet.)
Another thing is that, since I'm considering of finding other employers- perhaps anybody can refer me to one. I would be very interested to an employer within London, but those in the greater part of London or UK are appreciated as well.
Hi all!!congrats to everyone recieving decision letters. I have just received mine and I'm booked for my OSCE next Wednesday. Does anyone recommend any study material?!!!
Hi Skye! How was the OSCE? Have you already taken it?? :)
Congrats guys!:) Anyone here under MMA recruitment who now have his/her decision letter?
hi i am also under MMA recruitment but just started the assessment stage first week of June.
Hi....I am also with MMA recruitment and I am awaiting the decision letter...crossing my fingers that it be soon. I was transferring from the old system so lets hope all my documents which were transferred are still in order...and they are not getting outdated while waiting to be assessed...
Hi. I'm under MMA Recruitment. It took me 77 days to wait for my decision letter. I'm currently waiting for my CoS. I'm a bit worried about the news regarding the cap hit and the UK immigration changes though. I hope everything goes well.
So many people from MMA recruitment! Which hospital are you going to, if I may ask? I also have a conditional offer with them, but it was in Northern Ireland in a private nursing home. I didn't push thru since I wanted to be in a hospital. The agent advised me a while ago that they have an NHS hospital employer coming in, but they'll be seeing applicants July-August though. Made me a bit hesitant to wait that long, seeing as that everyone's just trying to get the Assessment done and over with.

On another note, congrats on everyone who has survived the Assessment waiting game! hopefully I get to share with the luck of those who have moved on. :)

How was your OSCE ? I believe it was on yesterday, wasn't it? did you get the results yet ? did they do the identification check yesterday itself or will do on another day? Did they send you any helpful materials when you are booked for the exam. sorry for being nosy.. just because of curiosity
