UK mental health nurse working in USA

Hi there, I am new to this and need some advice please. I am a UK student of mental health nursing in the UK there is a possibility that when I am qualified my partner will have a job opportunity in USA. I will already have a visa as I will go on his. But what to I need to become a mental health nurse in America, will I need to retrain and are there any states which will be easier for me?Many thanks.

The first thing you will need to find out is if you will be eligible to work in the US.

Generally RMN will not meet requirements for the US however if your transcripts have both clinical and theory hours in Paeds, Obstetrics, Adult and Mental Health you have a chance but a lot will depend on the state you plan on applying to
