UCLA MECN Fall 2011

Hello,

I saw that the MECN application for UCLA has been posted today. Is anyone applying to the Fall 2011 program?? I haven't found a thread going on yet...Maybe we can share our questions/concerns regarding the application process here.

I am so nervous. I don't know if reading this has helped or hurt! Hopefully we will all find out soon... :confused:

I also applied to CSUF and have heard NOTHING. I was going to call the admissions office today but didn't get around to it. Hopefully they are still sorting everything out... Let me know if you hear anything, and good luck with UCLA. Where else did you apply?

Thanks you too! I received an acceptance from USD but I am hoping to get into a school a little cheaper, ha! I applied to ucla, CSUDH, CSUF, CSULB, western, CSUN, concordia, and CSU LA (which i haven't gotten a call for an interview yet, and apparently they made those calls last week, :uhoh21: )

I was also accepted to USD but am trying to find a less expensive option if possible. I'm not too sure how high my chances of getting in UCLA are, but it would be nice to not be in so much debt after graduation. Hopefully we will all get in to UCLA and find out asap, the wait is killer!

if you don't mind me asking, what was your gpa/gre scores? I interviewed for USD but I either got waitlisted or denied and I am not sure exactly why. My grades are really good and I thought my interview went well.

Weren't the fullerton applications due a couple days ago? I was going to apply but then I changed my mind. I wouldn't expect to hear back from them anytime soon. genzey, CSULA is still reviewing applications.

I graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a 3.1 and got A's in USD's pre-reqs. I know that they just don't look at GPA because mine wasn't very competitive.... I was a biology major and did a lot of lab work including a thesis so maybe that made up for my GPA? I really don't know how they decide. If I am remembering correctly I got a 650 math and 560 verbal, its been a while now so I could be mistaken.Do you have any health related experience? I volunteer at Kaiser so that could have helped out a bit too. Its really hard to know what there looking for! Goodluck!

My major is health science at a CSU, I had some experience volunteering at St. Francis Med. ctr and my GPA was really good, but not so good on the GRE. I don't know, maybe its because I have not yet graduated with my BS and I still needed two prerequisites which I was going to take in the summer. I could still be on the waitlist but I won't know until they send me a letter, So its all for UCLA now! I haven't applied anywhere else but I may apply to CSULB if I don't get in at UCLA.

Fullerton was due yesterday the 28th. I dont think anything will be heard for awhile.
